On this date in 1975, a bomb was detonated in a baggage claim area at New York's LaGuardia Airport. Eleven people were killed and seventy-five were injured. A Croatian nationalist emerged as a suspect, but there was never sufficient evidence linking him to the crime. The case remains officially unsolved to this day.

Brother, I am blanking. Don't remember this one at all.
Aside from reading about it a couple years ago, I don't remember it either, Charlie. I was only 12 at the time, but I followed the news pretty closely. I'm sure I would have noted something like this, but it doesn't ring any bells. Maybe I was overcome with celebrating Christmas and skipped the news for a few days.
