On this date in 1992, the teflon had finally worn off the Teflon Don; after several tries, federal prosecutors finally convicted Gambino crime family boss John Gotti. Gotti, who was convicted of racketeering and murder charges, was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. He died of cancer in June 2002 at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, MO.

teflon was what he put in his hair, i think...
Paul,
Whatever he used, that hair was always perfect.
And the geniuses in the Federal Government (Justice Dept. and FBI) set loose a guy who admitted to killing 19 people so he could start a drug business in Arizona.
I'm glad New York juries FINALLY wised up to the pieces of shit the Feds put on the stand to convict others. The "teflon" was passed down to his son ... 0-4 the feds are in that fiasco.
Yeah, I'm starting to wonder whether they really have anything on Junior, or if he's just become another great white whale to the US Attorney's office.
And the one where they beat the old man, they took away his attorney (Bruce Cutler) who had beaten them 3 previous times.
1-7 and they had to rig the deck (and set free a serial killer) to get the one.
Yeah, I want them to look for Ossam Bin Laden ... great idea ... they lost Whitey Bulger and they're gonna find OBL?
Like Rick Marinick (Boyos) says: "The FBI couldn't catch a cold without a rat."
Charlie,
I sometimes wonder whether it's that they can't find Bulger, or if they don't want to. After all, he was on their payroll (and under their protection) as an informant while he was committing some of his most heinous crimes. He was killing people left and right and the local cops couldn't lay a glove on him, thanks to the feds. The revelations that might result from a trial may be more embarrassment than they want to deal with.
Good point, John. He can probably tell stories we can't imagine (and we already know of what you mentioned--how they set people up for him, etc.).
More pictures of the Irish model, please ...
