Here's another slice of vampire coolness. Near Dark (1987) was directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Blue Steel, Point Break). It stars Adrian Pasdar, Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jeanette Goldstein. Oh yeah, and Tim Thomerson. It wouldn't be an 80s movie without Tim Thomerson. I first saw this one when I was stationed in Germany. My roommate used to call it the "redneck vampire movie." It's kind of like Dracula meets Deliverance.
