A STAR IS BORN...NOT!

And my streak of bad luck continues:
Casting call

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people from across the Capital Region are hoping to make it big on the big screen. Open auditions for extras are being held today at College of Saint Rose for Oscar winning Director Ang Lee's upcoming film.

The movie is called "Taking Woodstock." It's a drama based on a memoir by small-town official Elliot Tiber and his experience in the 1969 rock fest. Casting directors are seeking all types of people, but under one condition -- they have to look like hippies.

And here I am stuck on the west coast while this is going on. This was my big chance to break into the movies. I mean, look like a hippie? That is so totally me. I look great in tie-dye. And people are always telling me that I look like a younger, grungier Tommy Chong. But no. Missed my chance. Again. This is like, so not fair. Or, as us hippies say, "Ungroovy, man."
